Late last year Year 12 Brandsma student Josh Smillie was selected to be a part of the 2024 AFL National Academy.  The AFL National Academy Boys squads feature many of the country’s most promising young footballers who are eligible for selection in the 2024 AFL Draft. The AFL National Academy is an accelerated football and personal development program that provides the next generation of stars with experiences, learnings and further opportunities to best prepare them for the next steps in their football. Over the past few weeks the academy squad has participated in games against VFL teams such as Coburg and Footscray and performed well collecting near 30 disposals for both games. Well done Josh and good luck for the remainder of the year.
