Congratulations to Stefan Koomen – Mayor of Casey!

We are proud to share the news that alumni Stefan Koomen (Class of 2003), has been elected as the new Mayor of the City of Casey following a special council meeting at Bunjil Place on Tuesday 19 November.

Representing Waratah Ward, Stefan expressed his gratitude and excitement in stepping into this leadership role reflecting on his journey: “I’m genuinely taken aback thinking on when I first started knocking on doors earlier this year in Doveton – to think that right now I’m a councillor, let alone mayor, was not something that crossed my mind. I came into this role with a real desire to serve our community and I’m happy to be here.”

We extend our warmest congratulations to Stefan and wish him all the best as he leads the City of Casey.
