CONGRATULATIONS GUS!: Winner 1st Place Gus Mileto Year 9 Italian-Australian.
The Poetry Recitation Competition presents Melbourne secondary school Italian students in Years 9-12 with the opportunity to learn and recite an Italian poem – ranging from excerpts of Dante’s Comedy to those of contemporary Italian poets.
Every year, our students of Years 9,10, 11 and 12 studying Italian, compete in the Dante Alighieri Poetry Competition. This year 1646 students across 42 Victorian High Schools competed in the Poetry Recital Competition. We had 53 students competing in the Poetry Competition. Over 300 finalists competed in the final round on the 25 June at the University of Melbourne. Well done to our 7 students who made it to the finals.
