Josh Hannan, a former student of ours, made waves on the latest season of Australian Idol, clinching the third spot and marking the beginning of what promises to be a promising music career. We couldn’t be prouder to see one of our own shine on such a big stage.
From the moment Josh stepped into the audition room, strumming his guitar and belting out Matt Corby’s hit “Brother,” we knew he had something special. His performance wowed the judges, earning him a golden ticket to the top fifty. Throughout the competition, Josh continued to impress, showcasing his talent and versatility.
His journey on Australian Idol was a rollercoaster of emotions and unforgettable performances. From delivering soulful renditions of Fleetwood Mac’s “Landslide” to his moving tribute to Whitefriars College teacher, (via Coldplay’s “Fix You,”), Josh captivated audiences and judges alike.
Despite facing tough competition and intense scrutiny, Josh remained true to himself, staying authentic and genuine throughout the competition. His dedication, hard work and passion for music were evident in every performance.
While Josh may not have clinched the top spot, his journey on Australian Idol has undoubtedly set the stage for a bright future in the music industry. We can’t wait to see where his talent takes him next, and we’ll be cheering him on every step of the way. Congratulations, Josh, on a remarkable achievement!
